my starter Larry Christenson got injured after 2 innings... Mellie Wolfgang followed with 6 almost perfect innings giving only 1 walk and 1 error... Bob Shawkey and Mike Marshall finished it off with a perfect 9th...

Team work sure, but mostly luck. The lucky part was your starter getting injured so early as the odds of Christiansen throwing a no hitter on his own would rival Mario Mendoza hitting five homeruns in one game.
