Normalization must be turned back on! Actually solution is simple. They should be able to start every 2.5 games.
The truth is stranger than fiction (or tongue in cheek). Starting every 2.5 games wouldn't be often enough in the 1880s.
Read about the insanely improbable season of 1884 when Radbourn, Sweeney, and the Providence Grays fell prey to the self-inflicted curse of their own success and egos. None of them were ever the same again after that 84 - 28 championship season.
