A truly great player - very underrated since he played his entire career in the depths of the Modern Deadball Era.

I've never been a fan of awarding the MVP to a picher (the Cy Young Award covers that). If the AL MVP Award hadn't been given to Denny McLain in 1968, Freehan would have been a top candidate.
