what babe Ruth in a 999 league. ?

right now have him at the 17 mill salary. but thinking of wanting a little more power from him. what have you done with the babe.. in the 999 unlimited leagues?

I suppose it depends on where you are positioning him and which ballpark you are using.

I like the $16.05 card if Babe is at 1b (no negative clutch, more HR chances, and much better fielding at 1b)

Certainly the $17.27 card if he is playing OF (for the 2 range)

a case (small one) could be made for the $13.53 card if facing a lot of LH pitching (50% more HR off LHP)

In a DH role, I slightly prefer the $17.27 card...but the $16.05 card should net you about 6 more HR per season (at the expense of 0.070 OBP)

Why choose just one? In a $999 league you can use a different Ruth every night.

thank you for the responses. I have him in the OF and batting 2nd right now. will just fiddle around with the lineup to get as much production as possible.

Ruth at 1B? In what universe would you ever play any of his cards at 1B. I avoid high caps and would never play 999. Having said that I much prefer his 1921 card

I am with you on avoiding the high caps, just seems silly to me.

Also, I was scratching my head about putting Ruth at 1b too.

it's like beer league softball. the high end 999 or really anything over 200 mill leagues. fun to play but not A whole lot of strategy involved.

A lot more strategy than you might think.....but not in the area(s) one might normally think of however.
