SO MUCH SO FOR +/-

I really wonder why we should give that much importance to +/- records and why it should be the 2nd criteria
considered in case of a tiebreak...

In a $40M league, my team stands 1st overall in +/- with +100...

https://365.strat-o-matic.com/league/457220

Yet, it stands 4 games below .500 at 55-59, 12 games out of 1st place in my division...

According to the expanded standings, it should be 1st with a 68-46 record...

Mind you I agree that my 3-6 XI and 10-26 one run game records play a big role...

But really...

Run Differential is a funny thing and it can be skewed badly by those 1 run wins & losses.

You win a game 10-0 and then lose 9 straight 1 run games and you have a 1-9 record despite having a positive run differential.

So as important as R/D seems like it should be ... It isn't.

To add insult to injury, I have the 3rd best team offense and also the 3rd best team pitching...

And out of my 29 total HRs... 17 are by my hitters and 12 by my pitchers...

It is in the long run, just not in the short run. After 2082 completed teams here to date, I feel confident in that assertion.

Just had event 6 barnstormer led the league run diff all the way till last night of reg season and did not make playoffs. Gary clausen beat me out with neg run diff. I was 118 plus he was minus 13. Go figure
