Only 3 spots left-please don't pick a franchise already being used.

Description: NO TOP 3 WORLD SERIES WINNERS FRANCHISE LEAGUE… AT your initial draft, there are NO YANKEES,CARDINALS,and RedSox. (The top 3 teams of accumulated World Series victories) Also Nel players and pre 1900 players (with cards from pre 1900 Baltimore O's and Phildelphia A's, Wolverines, Troy, Maroons, Hartford, Louisville and Boston Red Stockings) These players can be picked up if they have another card for your franchise but if they are not picked up with the initial draft then they are FA. Pick one of the available franchise pairings. Lots of amazing FA will be available: Ruth, Mantle, Gibson, Pujols, Teddy, and so many more. Pick one of the available franchise pairings.

1) Braves/Brewers
2) Phillies/Twins
3) Reds/Royals/Rockies
4) Cubs/Angels
5) Pirates/Mariners
6) Whitesox/Orioles/Rays
7) Indians/D-Backs
8) Tigers/Marlins
9) Dodgers/Rangers
10) Giants/BlueJays
11) Astros/Mets/Padres
12) A's/Expos

Negro Leaguers, pre 1900 players (as explain above) and the great players from the 3 WS championship franchises will be available at the waiver wire. If your franchise has a card for a player that is on one of these franchises, you may draft him obviously. Please use your teams’ names in your name. Also you must use a franchise ballpark. And Trades are OK as long as teams own the players rights that they are trading. Please draft fairly. If, following the original draft, your team has a player that shouldn't be there and didn't have a good reason to be there (like missing out on a player eligible for your team), then there will be a substantial penalty. For example, if the Giants team gets a $9 million plus SS (there's no SS they could have missed on), they will forfeit a player or waiver pick as a penalty. You may use any of his cards. So McGwire has Cardinal cards and A's cards. If the Cards/A's get him they can use any of his cards they want. Please use your team’s names in your name. If you have any questions please let me know. I have played in a lot of franchise leagues, really enjoy them.
but here is the thing--
In the leagues i have played in, the owner that makes the first or second franchise selection, wins 75% of the time. (based on the 30+ leagues I have played in.

just sayin'.............

this league may be somewhat different, as the number of quality of players available at the waiver wire is significant, but if you look carefully, there are some franchises that have significant holes to fill, and some....not so much.

I think the only way to have a fair franchise league, is to do franchise selection via random draft order....
