Stadiums Ratings

PostFri Apr 22, 2022 1:28 pm

I know we have the Singles and Home Run ratings available.
Is there anywhere where can see the Doubles and Triples ratings, if they exist?

Sorry joe...not sure...had long suspected and recall a discussion on this from the old boards but I can't locate.
I do know that the wiki claims doubles/triples from the max rules is turned off, but I think that is related to overall number of doubles/triples by an individual card anyway, not due to stadium.

The max rule, which is indeed listed as off, is related to both ballpark doubles/triples as well as reducing triples (turning them into doubles) off the pitcher cards for certain hitters. So whatever the park factors may be, they shouldn't matter in 365. The Windows help file says only AL and NL seasons have 2B/3B park factors, so it doesn't seem like a setting that could be used in ATG where there are NeL parks.

Interestingly, Guard Lines is also part of this max rule, meaning that no one is ever guarding the lines in 365.

I'm thankful for that. I almost NEVER guard the lines when playing Windows games, it's a sucker strategy

Cool--learn something new every day--so good question Joe.
In addition to guard lines, I also don't like the infield in and wish I could have it off permanently. Doesn't make sense in ATG at most caps and just creates more hits.

Then again, I was never a big fan of it in real baseball either. Always seemed to backfire--or at least the instances I always seemed to remember.

Stupidest thing I’ve seen in baseball this year was when Kevin Cash pulled his infield in AND used the shift at the same time. Talk about a strategy designed to fail

I wonder if Kevin Cash makes very many decisions that aren't phoned down from the office. ;)

I Do use infield in a lot when playing the windows game. Seems to me to prevent more runs than it gives up. Has to be the right kind of team and a close game though.
