All teams have a negative run differential, which is kind of odd, but look at the first place team ... Negative 138 run differential, yet they somehow have a WINNING RECORD at 68-67 which is a whopping 14 games above their Pythagorean projection of 54-81.

To be clear, I'm not picking on anyone, just saying I don't know that I've seen a team with that kind of negative differential have a winning record before.

First places exp W/L is 54-81 which would be the worst record in the league. Very interesting. He's definitely doing well in the 1 run games.

Most of the run diffential loss has come in last 17 games after dumping a bunch of pitching and upgrading the relief? has a -60 run differential while going 3-14. Probably the 7 game lead may not be good enough to hold. Could have a division winner with 72 wins.

Am I the only one impressed by all the black box programming it's taking to make this happen?

In the past six months, I have had 4 teams that have led the league in run differential and not made the playoffs.

The number of series, where my teams won like 15-2, and then lost 2-1 and 3-2, is ridiculous.

Of course there is no normalization software or black box....err wait a minute, Bernie told me there was......

Of course STRAT does not skew results so that newbies get a chance to win a league so they would continue to buy credits.

Of course STRAT did not set up ROOKIE LEAGUES so that newbies would have a chance to win...to keep them in the purchase loop.

Of course STRAT did not introduce HR normalization.......oh wait a minute, Treyomo proved that it did exist....

Of course multiple same position injuries that happen in the first game of the playoffs are merely just a coincidence.....

Of course 1-- 17 game winning streaks, followed by 2-23 losing streaks at the end of the season, are purely chance.

of course there are now 4 big time owners that I know that no longer play strat, and I am about to join them. something about actual data or something.....

Here’s a league where I’m leading in run differential, but won’t make the playoffs. I thought it was because I can’t win in my division and I’m losing most one run games because my bullpen is poor. Instead of trying to improve how I put together my teams in the future, I’ll instead blame it on a nasty black box. It’s much less effort.

MtheB, you are in this league too and doing quite well. Would it make you feel better if your record was worse than mine?

Very interesting. Your pythagorean projection is totally out of whack with your actual W/L

But what is killing you is your record in DIV, its 11-25.
thats where you might have made some adjustments to improve your record against those teams.

winning the div is paramount.
