Quick Hook Question

If I set my sub 1M LH & RH specialists to also serve as closers vs L/R respectively, does the quick hook designation also apply to them like it would for the specialist roles?

Don't think I've ever seen anything that makes a differentiation between those two roles, so I'm just seeking clarification and any ideas or information is appreciated!

That's an interesting question. I would think it does, but I don't know.

Is the quick hook checked? I believe you can uncheck the quick hook when you set them as a specialist but then you can pay the price for HAL to be allowed to leave them in for longer outings.

That's a good question. Things like this are why I wish the manager settings were crystal clear in functionality. I can say that I have tried these players without quick hook in some cases and got stellar results, but that's with guys over 2 mil. I imagine the cheaper cards could be quite volatile.

couple of things. you have to prioritize either the specialist role or the closer vs R/L role otherwise HAL will burn up as a specialist B4 using in the closer role or then insert that specialist for your designated closer. I've also found that if u set the specialist at say "not b4 8th inning", HAL will wait, then bring them in an inopportune situation. by now HAL has burned up your pen and u r stuck with your mopup trying to win the game in the 8/9 inning. hence in the Box it has BS after what is your designated mopup! So BS truly has two meanings! :x
