into a player's real/actual/+ BA. Groundball double plays are a killer. how do the Metric Maestros calculate/incorporate the GIDP? due to GIDP on the Pitcher's cards, they are always elevated in Strat. example, I've got the 6 8 McAuliffe currently with 5 GIDPs and he doesn't have one on his card. in 68 he didn't hit into a DP so his Strat results r skewed which makes his card sux. so far in his season that 10 costly outs. actually should say 5 with a runner on 2b with either 1/2 outs with the 3 hole batter, usually your best hitter, coming to the plate. killer

wasn't McAuliffe the leadoff guy for a more or less station to station Tigers team? so, lot's of ABs with nobody on
still he did hit into only 77 in in a 10+ year career, 162-ized that is 7 per season

McAuliffe doesn't have any gb A's on his card, so the double plays are coming off the pitchers card or the X Chart. There is a Black Box maximum rule in the Windows game "Correct Board Game Excesses" which will override the rolled results "for certain players who had extreme performances." Are you advocating that 365 turn this on and use it to override more results?
Regarding the '68 Tigers, actually they weren't all slow. Kaline, Stanley, and Northrup were pretty fast. The answer is the 8th slot shared between Oyler (.135), Tracewski (.156), and Matchick (.203). Between these hitless wonders and the 9th hitting pitcher there was never anyone on base for McAuliffe.

It's actually already turned on. Maybe this thread is evidence that the setting doesn't affect GIDPs.
