Pretty much so. That's an awesome card for the money, he always performs for me, despite the injury risk. Over time, i think you'll see it level off injury-wise.

Not a great defensive card.

Defense: rf-4(+1)e6 / 3b-3e38 / 2b-4e11 / 1b-4e14

Nap Lajoie has always been my Kryptonite. Every single time I use one of his 15 game injury cards, he is guaranteed to have two 15 game stints on the DL, one of which always happens the first week of the season.

I hate injuries.

The Eddie Collins injury card has always done well for me.

Here's my thing about 15 gamers ...

#1 - If you lose 30 games a year from them, they typically are NOT priced 20% lower than their 3 game counter parts, so it's a net sum loss.

#2 - If you lose them for the playoffs (as mentioned), odds are your season is over.

Good point, and I understand the qualms about 15 gamers, but actually think there's a lot of potential upside if things go well. I like the value of a card like Wagner's 7.68M, and will usually use him at 1B or DH. Value-wise, in terms of salary, I'd rather have a couple key guys on my team with a lot of upside and larger injury risks, than the opposite. Seems to work, just my anecdotal experiences. :)

Yup.
And the corollary or extension of this is Hack's post, which generally I would say is it is not likely you will have two 15 gamers, or lose 30 games, so is typically worth the risk.
Always? no. But the price of limiting injuries is high. I get it it. I have a tough time shelling out $ on my highest paid guy, or like a leadoff dude if he is a 15 gamer.

In fact, I'd wager that teams with all green injury guys against teams with all black injury guys will get beaten every season. Maybe that's a theme league. The risque and the risknay.

I've used the $7.68M Hans Wagner many times. He is the master of:
    - The 15-game injury
    - The two-out TRIPLE with no one on
    - The bases-loaded DOUBLE PLAY
    - Botching an opponent's suicide squeeze when playing 1B or 3B, so that everybody's safe
    - More CS than SB
    - Shifting to RF (primary position) in a head-scratching, 8th inning defensive maneuver
    - Season numbers like an $11M guy
Worth every penny.
