Live draft (ILC) "franchise teammates"-full
Posted: Sun Feb 12, 2023 9:26 pm
Looking to start this draft Tuesday morning. This is a six team, unlimited cap, league using the DH. Draft position will determined by a randomizer, based on sign-up order. The draft will consist of a 12 round serpentine draft on the ILC board as follows: Rounds one and two (picks 1-12) each manager may choose one individual PLAYER, without restriction. In rounds 3-12, each manager will choose a pair of TEAMMATES-being defined as two players that have a card for the same franchise. Examples: Walsh and Thome, DiMaggio and Dickey. Players, once selected, may not be duplicated. You may, however, choose teammates from the same franchise more than once. The final six roster spots will be filled by autodraft. NeL counts as a franchise. All pre-1900 orphan teams are considered, together, as one franchise, so you could pick Barnes and Keefe as a teammates selection. Duffy can be a Brave or a pre-1900 orphan. IMPORTANT: THE 22 PLAYERS TAKEN IN THE LIVE DRAFT CANNOT BE RELEASED. While they can be traded, the receiving team may not release them. WHEN FILLING OUT YOUR DRAFT CARD, PLACE YOUR ADDITIONAL SIX PLAYERS IN SPOTS 1-6, AND YOUR LIVE DRAFT RESERVED PLAYERS 7-28. If a player qualifies as a “teammate” you may use any card the player has, not just the teammate card. Example: You draft Hornsby and McGwire as teammates in round 3. Despite their Cardinal connection as teammates, you can use Hornsby’s Cubs cards and/or McGwire’s A’s cards. At waivers and beyond, any player in the free agent pool is available. Trades are unlimited. Transactions are unlimited, with the restriction that live drafted players cannot be dropped (though you may swap their cards freely). You may choose any ballpark.
