Opener/Follower Pitchers

This would be interesting as a potential mitigation against extreme one-sided cards/platoons. Not foolproof, which is good because it adds to the strategic dance.

So basically...bring back super relievers? I don't see that being the least bit controversial :)

I don't MIND openers in real life although I don't love them or anything. But Strat has not incorporated them well at all. The Windows game still doesn't have an option to set the "headliner" you want to follow the opener (also how are we like 5 years into the opener being a thing now and the guy that follows him still doesn't have a widely understood name). You have to hack it using Super HAL Bullpen. And even more annoyingly, they haven't adjusted their fatigue rules at all. Reliever fatigue rules should apply to openers, but instead starter fatigue rules do.

Ha that's true, though the opener could be a short guy and the follower a low endurance SP.
I was just thinking it could be an element of strategy when a heavy platoon team is switched to the wrong side a couple times.

Yeah it was an empty out-loud thought as I don't think it could be reasonably implemented in 365 and is eclipsed by many other things they should be working on.

But it occurred to me because of exactly that... What are they actually working on besides introducing new cards?
The software is Win 3.1 type stuff and is the core of the experience--I would think updating it in spiral/increment fashion would be a priority.

Super relievers are super cool
