A member PM'd me and said he noticed a pattern in the Division graphs at the bottom of the League page.

He wrote: I have noticed that the order of finish within a division is almost always blue-red-orange-green in the Winning % graphs across many types of leagues......

I can only view the graphs in leagues which are listed under Your Recently Completed Teams. Those leagues are a mish-mash from 2016 to the 2021. Why those particular teams? Who knows. That's another question. I can also view the graphs from teams in progress FWIW.

There are 5 teams listed that I have "Recently Completed". 15 divisions. 14 of them follow the BROG pattern.

I told the member that this Forum may help us understand this pattern.

When the graph is made, teams are placed in order of their current winning percentage, then the data for their winning percentage at each day of the season (1:162) is collected and graphed. Colors are assigned by this ordering so the order will always be blue, red, orange, green (purple, light blue). I'd be interested in the exception you saw. Was it really an exception or was it a tie for one of the places?

Ok. Thanks. I'll point the questioner in this direction. As I recall the "exception" was most likely a tie.

If they're asking about the specific color assignments always coordinating with a specific place in the standings, standard assignments for ribbon places (swimming, track, etc.) is 1st = Blue; 2nd = Red; 3rd = White (not possible with a white background, so orange?), 4th = Green. If that answer had nothing to do with the users question, you're welcome for the random fact of the day :D
