Crosetti is a stud!

Yes I know it's a 30 million dollar league but 60 games in he has 41 RBI's (leading my team) and is good for 7th in the league. I have used this version of Crossetti many times but I must say this level of performance is unexpected even in an extremely low cap league.

No, Crosetti is NOT a stud, in any league at whatever cap. He sucks, only good for D. Then again, I'd never play a 30M cap, just not my thing. That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :)

I like Crosetti a lot. He's only 1.05 mil and hits 10 home runs a season.

Really, who cares about Frankie Crosetti? He's worth his money, that's it.

Here is why he is a bargain:

1) low cost, high value
2) "1" on D

Here is why he is not the value he appears

1) High number of errors on 2 of his cards. This is often overlooked as a plus/minus factor. His low cost high value, is compromised by how many runs his errors give up.
2) Hits into a very large number of DPs, there are 20 gbA chances on that low cost card. Thats a huge often overlooked factor--it means that virtually 20% of the time the dice roll is on his card, he can hit into a double play. Ouch.
3) Has decent speed, 1-14, but not enough to use him a a small ball agressive base running team.

I would suggest that his plus value only exists in 60 mill and under leagues.....

DPs kill u anyway because they show up on the pitchers cards also. I had Mantle, Hack, McAuliffe who have no or almost no DP's on their cards and they all approached 10 DP's by seasons end. total BS but that's what happens. so an additional 20 is crazy.

If you are playing Crosetti and he is hitting into a lot of double plays you don't know how to play this game.

Crosetti on a small ball;team that lead league in SB's and won the championship

While I've used him a lot in $80M leagues, he's just a black hole in the 9th spot, and you need much better hitters ahead of him (sure, he saves money for that). In the big picture, he's not all that deserving of this much attention if you're thinking about his defense. I'd rather spend more money, for example, on Didi Gregorious, 1e8, for a lefty park, or someone else, if you want to lengthen the lineup. One principle I follow is go with guys with more upside in most positions even if they have a 15 game injury risk. Not always, it's a mix, of course.

Let it go, this thread is about a very non-impactful player. Boring.
