card in either a 80 or 100 mil league? never use Morgan. I'm in a small ball park and coincidently league, so #HR's don't matter and his OBP, speed and fielding would seem to b a perfect fit? but @ the high price, will it pay off?

For some reason, Morgan usually stinks with any card. I don't know why, but think SOM didn't give him enough singles on his cards for enough BA. Bill James, I believe, said Morgan was like the perfect player. Here's the $11+M card in a small ballpark at $100M -- lower than expected OPS:

HIs value is OBP which is largely derived from Walks which IMHO consistently makes him UNDER PERFORM. It seemed like every time I tried him, he hit between .200-.250 and didn't hit his carded OBP either.

I have given in to temptation and used the card before and it didn't go well. My friends really dislike the card as well. I'd love to see the price lowered a bit. In general, I think repricing could be highly exciting.

Hard to think of an environment where 75 would be more efficient than 76.

Agree with Max, his '76 card seems the most preferable, especially in an environment of righty pitchers, which it usually is. I want to like Morgan, he seems at first to check a lot of boxes. But still a lot of money for his production. An update on his '76 card, now at .838 OPS.

Counting stats -- RBIs -- look good due to him having the walk heavy Cobb, Bonds and Cash ahead of him against righties. I think SOM robs him of stolen bases by giving him a *4-6/- (19-15). He stole 60 that year, only 9 caught steals. Should be better like *3-7?

Used him once in my SB team: .250, .429, .386/ highlite was 161 walks. Is he worth 10.88M, I don't think so in an 80M cap.
