Description:
This league is a non-card franchise league. Your player must have played at least 1 game for one of your franchises in order for you to draft them. This does require some research. Many players have the same name (several Frank Thomas), and franchises had several different names throughout. Most franchises didn't start until 1901 (O's, RedSox, WhiteSox, Indians, Twins, A's, and Twins) but some teams started in late 1800's (Braves '76, Cubs '76, Reds '82, Dodgers '84, Phillies'83, Pirates'82 and Cards'82) and some teams had different names. (1901 Brewers became O's, Senators became the Twins, but a later Senators version became Rangers) Baseballreference.com is a good source. I will let people know if a player is OK for that team. Several great players played for teams that don't usually have great players. Players that played with the Yankees and the NEL, not drafted by teams that can own them up are FA and can be picked at waivers and FA period. (Example Roger Maris played for Indians, A's, Yankees and Cards. If no one drafts him than anyone can pick him since he played for the Yanks) Trades are OK if you own the players rights. Please pick a stadium from one of your franchises. Lots of great FA (Mantle, Gehrig, Dimaggio, Jeter, Gibson, Stearnes, Charleston andsome pre 1900 players-although some played for franchises below)
Please pick one of the franchise combos below. Do not duplicate a combo please. Double check before submitting.
1) Phillies/Twins/Blue Jays
2) Cubs/Rangers
3) Cards/D-Backs
4) Indians/Marlins
5) Pirates/Royals
6) A's/Padres
7) Giants/Angels
8) RedSox/Rays
9) WhiteSox/Orioles/Rockies
10) Tigers/Mets/Expos
11) Braves/Dodgers/Brewers
12) Reds/Astros/Mariners
Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Luker
