Hiding an OF arm on a pitcher card?

PostWed Nov 29, 2023 8:19 pm

Say I have a +2 arm in RF. I'm looking at the Jerry Reuss '74 card. I don't see any Single(rf) rolls on his card (except for a BP single roll which is going to get overridden by the advanced engine). Or any Single(lf) rolls for that matter. They are all SI** or SI*, which I believe go to CF?

Am I reading this correctly that there would never be any extra baserunning chances to rf/lf on Reuss' card? They would all go to CF?

I wouldn't assume those asterisked singles all go to CF. Two different max rules might impact that. More Baserunning Decisions effectively erases the asterisks on most rolls, it may well replace them with a corner OF position as well. And if it doesn't, then Improve Out Distribution likely does.

I can confirm, from reviewing my play-by-play files, that the asterisk hits are not all assigned to the cf.
