Strat-O-Matic Baseball 365

Started the season with a couple of late inning defensive subs selected in the team strategy page.

I decided to stop using those late inning subs and changed it.

But HAL still subs those players out with the settings changed.

Has anyone else ran into this problem? And how can I fix it.

Don't EVER click "Remove for Defensive Sub" on any player. Only do it through the Team Strategy page. I have not had issues doing it that way.

I believe this is a huge issue for most, because it rivals all other HAL's (idiotic, inexplicable) moves, the late inning def replacement "musical chairs" (when in real life, has ANY fucking team, replaced 7 or 8 players in the middle of half an inning ?!)

you can try to set your starters that are being replaced as your defensive replacements. That might keep HAL from subbing them out.

HAL sometimes does crazy stuff when you try to outsmart him. Keep it simple is the best answer I can give.

Your replies made me go over ALL of my settings. I forgot to un-click "remove for def sub" on those players. It should be fixed now.

I agree, but when HAL keeps doing something detrimental, I have a hard time sitting and taking it.

Sounds like the problem was found though, so hopefully that will fix it.

That was definitely your issue. If that is clicked, HAL will replace that player at all costs and without regards to common sense or defensive skill at a particular position. Basically, you said REMOVE HIM, so HAL will ALWAYS remove him.
