Beware of leagues with Joe9913, said player has ignored a league rule of using players over 9 99 million and has disreguared request to adjust his roster to conform.

The commissioner of a league can drop a player and add a free agent for any team. This is done from the Team Page of any team.

that's funny. Strat just gave every manager a free credit because HAL about half way thru the season in an 80 mil raised one teams cap to 140 mil. manager didn't mention it and quickly went to a 140 mil team playing in an 80 mil cap league. I was in his division and went from starting 8-1 against him to 2-7 the next 9 we played.

Wow. $140 mil in an $80 mil league is a flat out lock to win.
It's funny that in the real MLB, an extra $60 mil doesn't usually translate to massive success.

He swept me the last night of the season. If I had won one of those games, he would have missed the playoffs and no one would have likely noticed the outsized salary advantage he had.

There was another strange thing about that league. Prior to the start of the season, that particular manager was adding and dropping players at a feverish rate. I thought it might be an attempt to disguise his final roster going into the opener, but he must have had like 500 preseason transactions total.

Now it makes me wonder if something else was going on.

No idea. I just don’t like weird coincidences.

I've been tipped off to this situation since the player is in Barnstormers. He admitted his "sin" to me and wanted to be sure and relay to me that no such action would occur. Glitches in the game happen and I don't think the player had any way to cause it. Of course exploiting it is a different matter. It should have been brought to SOM's attention immediately (if it wasn't an official "private" league where the creator could make the adjustments himself.) Something like this can however go undetected for quite some time if the player himself doesn't come forward.

It was good of SOM to give the credits. After all, it was a glitch in THEIR game.

But yeah, as far as the original post goes, always publish your theme rules in the league description. This covers you for when an idiot goes off base and is your justification to go to SOM and get the player booted. Better to have a SOM team on auto-pilot than a team blatantly disregarding the rules.
