Box score error? Reliever credited with inexplicable win

Check this out. I can’t figure out why Rivera earned the win for me the other day in relief.

He came in and threw three pitches in the top of the ninth to end the game, retiring Chipper Jones with two men on and my team leading 12-7.

There’s no way that qualifies for a win, right? I don’t think that even qualifies for a save (no tying run on deck). Weird, right?

I guess HAL's "official scorer" really didn't like the way Shea pitched! Looks like he dipped into an interpretation of what happens when the starter doesn't go five innings: "A reliever can also pick up the win if the starting pitcher pitches fewer than five innings in what would have been the starter's win, and the official scorer deems that reliever to have been the "most effective" in preserving the win."
