Seaver here, pitching a 3 hit shutout, gets lifted for no reason, going into 7th inning? He had a 91 pitch count.

I later lost the game through my relievers, and Seaver’s having a great year for me
To date.

Although I have my Relief set at Agressive, I don’t understand this move by HAL (program)?

What say you?

Any feedback welcomed, and thanks in advance!

I would assume pitch count + fatigue + agressive setting is why he’d be pulled. I think a lot of Hal’s decision making is questionable at best so I try to limit them with the settings the best that I can. Maybe switching just to normal would give him a longer leash. Or setting the don’t relieve before tab under pitching settings to 0 or 1 depending on the pitcher.

In a DH league, any pitcher worth his salt, should have an F# setting.

For $7M plus pitchers, I'd suggest F0 or F1 and Quick Hook. That way once fatigued they will get pulled automatically.

I ALWAYS set the team to Conservative.

If you have relief set to Aggressive and reliever roles defined, HAL will jump at the first opportunity to use them, so in this game, HAL couldn't wait to put in the lefty/righty specialists.
