RIP Bob Uecker

Sadly there are no characters like him left in the game. I remember once on Johnny Carson he said: "I was pinch hitting in the bottom of the ninth once and looked over at our dugout and all my teammates were in street clothes already. That doesn't instill a lot of confidence in you." Truly a one of a kind ballplayer, broadcaster and storyteller.
I'm going to start a 30 million dollar league in the public leagues called the "Just a bit outside! Uecker Memorial" Why 30 mil? Because Bob would have wanted it that way. Maybe someone can even draft his 1964 card.

One-of-a-kind in so many ways, an ambassador for the fun-loving side of baseball and much, much more. RIP Bob Uecker!

"When I looked at the third base coach, he turned his back on me." – Uecker
