2025 Event 5 preview and dates

Finally, the events arrive with the big money, first the 140 Mil and then the finale, the 200 Mil. Both are of course, DH. By now, you should know what stadium groupings you have left that you can use. If you haven't slipped up and got yourself a penanty, you can use one of three. Check the groupings used to date thread to see.

With first pitch date of Aug 11, that means that leagues will be created and invites will go out on Friday Aug 1st.

I think there are no major holidays during the Event 5 kickoff, but if you are planning on being away, email me privately and let me know your availability.

FYI, I am going to offer live drafts for the 140 and 200 Mil Events. HOWEVER, the list of those getting into these live drafts will have some restrictions. If you have ever been a NO SHOW for your LIVE DRAFT or you DISAPPEARED during your live draft, you will NOT BE INVITED. You know who you are.

We will only have 1 - MAYBE two. Last year THURSDAY night was the hardest night to fill, so the draft will be on Tuesday night Aug 5th, starting at 6PM PST / 9PM EST. The draft will have a 1 minute per pick duration which should make the draft last about an hour and 20 minutes. I expect a FIRM COMMITTMENT from everyone requesting to do the live draft to be FULLY IN ATTENDANCE during the COMPLETE LIVE DRAFT. ALL 26 ROUNDS which includes a stadium. And you must have done a live draft IN THE PAST which means you know how it works. And lastly, NO STADIUMS will be changed. If you QUEUED it and your queue ran out, you get the stadium HAL drafts for you, and you will accept a penalty if that selection causes you a stadium grouping violation.

I will take the first 12 that email me directly that agree to all of the above. If you cant make the Tuesday draft, you MAY be able to get into the WEDNESDAY Aug 6th LIVE DRAFT only if I get enough to have that second draft which will not be guaranteed. (I'm NOT going to be scampering around looking for fillers). If I have trouble filling the WEDNESDAY league, it won't go and you are back to the autodraft.

I know that some of you always look forward to the LIVE DRAFT and this is FOR YOU. Don't let me down or we will be right back to all autodraft leagues for 140 and 200 Mil.

We have our 12 and 1 alternate for both the 140 and 200 mil caps. Since the emails from those I sent invites to have stopped, I am calling the live drafts closed. 1 league at each cap. Not enough interest for 2 leagues. Everyone else will default back to the autodraft.

The autodraft leagues will get started on Aug 1st and the lone live draft league will be on Aug 5th. Event 5 first pitch Aug 11th.

That is a long weekend through most of Canada. Some players may not be as available as they normally would. I, for example, will be on a campground.

140M is a weak spot for me. Let's see what kind of new draft strategy I can come up with. Will be at a time share in the mountains but they are supposed to have internet access. If it is spotty I have my hot spot I can drive down into town to get in.

Thanks Moose. Much appreciated!!! I will do my best to get in as soon as I can. My team is all set to go, so all I'll have to do is enter a league and mark my team ready.

League loading complete. 148 players active, all 148 loaded. No drops this event. The lone live draft was wildly successful. Most of those same players are already signed up for the 200 Mil Draft, but I am developing a second LD and will need a few more players to step up. Email me.
