2025 Event 6 preview / dates / LD

Our final event, the often wild and woolly 200 Mil DH slugfest is next on the horizon.

With a first pitch date of Sept 15 (no second week) league loading will start on Sept 5 (labor day behind us).

The 140 mil Event featured a single INVITE ONLY Live Draft. The recruitment process was not able to accomodate everyone (first come first served) but as the 200 Mil event benefits even more from a LD, I am forming a SECOND LIVE DRAFT. At this point, the first league is full and 6 have stepped forward to claim their spot in the second one.

So we have almost a month to recruit 6 more players to commit to the live draft. BOTH will occur on the same night, Tuesday Sept 9th at 6pm PST / 9pm EST and will be 1 minute per pick which takes about 1 hour and 25 minutes.

Let me know if you want one of those 6 spots - again FIRST COME FIRST SERVED.

I am bored these days if you need a filler for round 6. I would even be up for a live draft, if you needed it.

I have a list of players who have volunteered to be fillers, I will put you on the list and you are always free to bite or ignore any requests. Still down to needing two for the Live Drafts but I will consider you if I get in a bind. You have to be there though, you cant forget or sleep through it.

How we doing here -- got our 12 for Live Draft #2?

Got 10 and a list of fillers including Mark who just posted above. As we get closer to the Event, I'm sure all will fall into place.

Ewe Da Man, Bullwinkle babe! Are we randomly assigned to however many "Live" Leagues there may bee? Or am I asking for one too many topics on my Piazza? Want my Nobel Peace Prize?

Assuming we get 12 for the second league, I will ask one of the board members to go to random dot org with a request for randomizing 1 to 24 and set that side by side with an alphabetical list of those 24. Then 1-12 go into one league and 13-24 go into the other.

Both leagues will run on the exact same day and time and all must agree to that.

I'm not going to get into deciding the draft order or the divisions. Just like in the autoleagues, HAL will randomize those things for both leagues.

All live draft spots are now filled. They will be Tuesday Sept 9th. Autodraft leagues are ALSO created (got this tedious step out of the way) and AUTODRAFT league loading will start on Friday Sept 5th. Enjoy your Labor Day holidays. Get out and see a real game !!

Excellent! The Mighty Bullwinkle rides again. Wasn't asking for anything on Live Draft league assignments beyond the randomizing of the league assignment which you just described. The Game Engine creates the league Divisions on Draft Day Sept 9.

As I've said to you privately for going on 20 years, THANK YOU so much for all you do. You make herding cats look like a walk in the park.
