INVITES for the Autodraft Leagues go out Friday Sept 11
TWO Live Draft Leagues - Tuesday Sept 15 6pm PST / 9pm EST
First pitch for all leagues - Monday Sept 21
With many considering Event 5 as a total disaster, opening night FOR EVENT 5 is tonight.
The reason I say that is that 3 players have been given a 25-win penalty for a stadium grouping violation. 2 of those were from the only live draft league we had and players were specifically told that there are no stadium changes allowed for Live Drafters. This is because "live drafted" stadiums are under far greater scrutiny because no one else can take them. In an autodraft league, you get your stadium choice no matter what. Even there, the ability for the Commish to change a stadium "before first pitch" came under fire and one "Players Tour" participant withdrew from the tournamant because of it. Some take this very seriously and so do I.
Here in Barnstormers, it's always been a focus of the tour that you showcase your ability to do well in all kinds of parks. Anyone can win in a lefty or righty park, so we limit you to play there only once. And I do my best to send out quite a lot of reminders to check the groupings used to date thread to see what you have used. I updated that JUST TODAY with the Event 5 results.
Onward to the biggest cap of the year, 200 Mil DH. Based on the fact that I have 21 players who committed to the LIVE DRAFT for 200 Mil, we will have 2 LD leagues. Which means that I will still need 3 more to complete the second league. Speak up if you want to give that a try. Live Draft veterans only. Or you can send me an email to confirm that I already have you signed up. Going forward with all live drafts will now be a FRENZY instead of WAIVERS. Just makes sense and I think in general, all live drafters are in favor of it.
Both Live Drafts will be on the same night, Tuesday Sept 15th 6pm PST / 9pm EST. 1 minute per pick, the draft should last about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
First pitch for Event 6 will be Mon Sept 21. and league loading for Autodrafters will start on or about Sept 10/11.
