That right, Wayne Terwilliger! Wayne is a WWII Marine who served in the Pacific theatre and was with the assault forces at Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima. If he had done nothing else in his life he was a hero. But after the war he played for some of the lesser teams in existence (that's putting in mildly) including the Cubs, Senators, and Kansas City. The closest he came to winning was sitting on Brooklyn's bench and watching Bobby Thomson's infamous home run.

Heck, I might as well toss in my Charlie Coggin, Rod Carew, Tom Seaver, Tug McGraw, Roberto Clemente and Dusty Baker cards too ;)

I figure that if Gumby and Maxie want this so much, it would probably wise to do the opposite.... ;)

Similar to investing, I'd watch where the top players are heading and then head the opposite direction ;)

100 Mil DH it is. thaibills vote is meaningless. I will go setup the draft on DD and will come back here with more instructions.

Will send out the same information in a general e-mail to all 12. Maxie Minoso cannot access the message forums.

Thanks

ok for all Championship round finalists.

The draft is setup on Diamond Dope. BruceF has the first pick. The clock will be off until we are out of the first round. This gives time for all players to get accustomed to the fact that we do now have a live draft going on, and to look around and set proxies. Keep in mind that on DD, once you set proxies - YOU HAVE TO TURN THEM ON !!

Bitters did not have an account on DD, I have created one for him. Bitters have you ever drafted before on DD, and do you need some help to learn how it all works ? I have some instructions saved up, if necessary - I can send that to your private e-mail.

This is a 16-round draft of which 15 will be players and 1 round must be your stadium. You can draft your stadium in ANY ROUND if it is that important to you. If you are setting proxies and accidentally draft 16 players and no stadium, your 16th player drafted will be declared void and you will pick (or declare here) your stadium choice and that will make your 16th choice fair game for the scab draft. The draft site (DD) knows that this draft will be 100 Mil, so it also knows that you will still need 10 x .50 players, so it will not let you spend more than 95 Mil. If you try to proxy a player that will take you over 95 mil, the pick will not stick.

If most of your are experienced with Diamond Dope, we should be able to knock out this draft in 3 days. If you are going to be away for a long period of time, please post here and let everyone know and more importantly send me an e-mail and I will relay that information by e-mail to everyone else. I don't expect live draft problems at this level of competition but please COMMUNICATION is of extreme importance, both to me and your fellow players.

You all know my e-mail address - please let me know if you need any help with DD or if you have forgotten your password on the site. I can get this looked up and get you on your feet immediately.

Good Luck. Once the draft is over and all players have 15 players and 1 stadium, I will setup the league. The league will be RANDOMIZED using SOM new feature, we will discontinue the 1,4,7,10 style of league entry, as the randomizer method is much more random and appropriate.

Any questions ? Best of luck to everyone - a formal e-mail on what I have put in here will be sent out this evening. Maxie Minoso is having issues accessing the forums, so I will have to rely on e-mail to contact this participant.

Must stadiums for this league be unique?
