If I am not mistaken, the "1 hour" draft lasted about 3 days last year. The key that makes this work is USE THE QUEUES. People don't or won't use them.
I can be available anytime with the exception of Feb 24 to Feb 27... I am not opposed to 1 hour turns or less or even untimed to start. I have never done a live draft in SOM, but I assume it is like most live drafts in fantasy baseball. A tad bit nervous about that, but it should be very interesting.
I'm OLD, I just got my medicare card. How am I supposed to remember what we did last year. I can't remember what I did earlier this morning....... woe is me
Once everyone has joined the league we will revisit the timings. Got to review last years Finals thread.
Thanks Hack, re Nev. He has been sent a PM but as of now - still unopened.
ok what the hell, i need to de "grumpy old man" myself in my Golden Years.
I set the clock for off, set the start date to "THIS" Friday 6pm est assuming everyone has entered by then. I set it to Frenzy (after all we are live drafting 25 players) and I assume that I don't get any flack on THOSE changes.
Still looking for Nev and 4 others - I sent invites to them again.
Thanks again Moose. As I replied to the email, I am good for Friday night. But I can't do any earlier except by proxy picks (which is OK if it has to be that for everyone else). I am steeped in preparing to brief a House committee this week, and I will be out of pocket on Thursday and Friday.
Friday evening no earlier than about 6 else I will be by proxy until then.
Cheers--and just to emphasize the appreciation for your steadfast commitment--thanks.
Frank And OBTW--if I had to proxy that is ok. I ain't gonna bitch about being in the finals. It is a great group and I look forward to competing.

True dat. Whenever I am in a league and I see ANY of the names in this league, I think to myself, "Oh well, I guess I am not winning this one"--but nevertheless here I am. Looking forward to it as well.
And to echo Hack--Good Luck to all. For those that haven't live-drafted in a while--it is much easier now with SOM's engine than what you may remember either from DD or Penngray's original hosted drafts I believe I recall. Which I think was partially the source for what we have now.
Anyways, it even has a mock draft function. I find it to be a decent UI, and I am picky about UIs.
