Event #4 - 200 Mil Closed

Enough of the tiny caps. With Event #4 we roll out the big bucks with the second year in a row for the 200 Mil Cap. Some people love it and some hate it, but you cant deny that playing with that much cash gives you loads of options for what type of team you can create.

In a poll we had last year about opinions on the 200 Mil Event, the vote was 2 to 1 in favor of "loved it, keep it in" versus "hated it, take it out"

To try and help you out, I started a thread over in the ATG forum for reviving the 200 Mil CAP tips, hopefully there will be something to come away with from the postings there.

In roughly 2 weeks around June 20th, Event #4 - 200 Mil with DH leagues will be setup. Again, if you are planning vacations or otherwise will not be able to make a June 29th or July 6th start, please drop me an e-mail so we can see what can be worked out.

Can we try to set up a live draft for this event? 200 mil is much more interesting that way.

We can TRY, but it certainly floundered in the 60 Mil event. I got 4 people AT MOST before the league was disbanded and the players had to move to an autodraft.

I suggest setting the date of the draft now and opening it up for next Sunday night June 21st, say 10 PM eastern. If it does not fill by Saturday we disband it and enter a regular league. I didn't do the 60 mil because it was too difficult to navigate the cap. 200 mil is much easier.

I will draft live whenever whereever for 200m. I had no interest in live drafting 60m simply because it seemed pointless as you can miss on your entire draft card and still get a good team out of FA. 200m a live draft makes all the difference. Miss on your draft card in 200m and well you flushed a credit.

I would be willing to join in the LIVE auction draft for Event #4
Being in a league with the current touny leader would be a "test"
for this newbie. Who won't want to play against manager "Ham Sammich"
If someone is starting a list, please count me in.

My inclination would be to go to a weekday (as opposed to weekend) live draft as I truly feel that more people are likely to be around during the week. Now eliminating Monday and Friday, I would look towards Tues-Wed-Thurs - and to narrow down the time, as I am on WEST COAST, I am sometimes still stuck in bumper to bumper at 6 PM, so the time that I CAN do it (just to keep in mind the west coasters) would be 7 pm PST / 10 PM EST. Yes, this is a TAD late for the Easterners but I just cant force the worker bees on the WEST to try to rush to get home - miss dinner, etc.

So therefore, I can send a mail to all Barnstormers participants and offer a choice of one of those three days and see which is most popular. If I get MORE than 12 interested, I can take the two highest vote getters.

SO - Tues/Wed/Thurs at 7 pm PST / 10 PM EST, this is a not negotiable time and date option.

If this sounds good, I will get the mail out to everyone as soon as possible for the live draft option signups for the 200 Mil event.

Another option would be to create a LD for EACH of those three days. If your Tuesday league doesn't fill, you jump to the Wed league, if that doesn't fill, jump to Thursday and then we can review and see where we stand.

Sound like a plan ? And Rick, I know you said Sunday, but I just don't think this is going to be a time that people will find popular.

I can ask in the e-mail if anyone would do it if it were on Sunday, just to get a sense of what people want.
