2022 Event #5 schedule and updates

Event #4 has been put to bed and the threads for what stadiums have been "used to date" and the list of all leagues are both updated.

Event #5 is a much anticipated event. Seems most people like 140 Mil DH. With first pitch dates of Aug 15 and Aug 22, the leagues will be CREATED and the Event announcement emails will go out on Aug 5 or Aug 6. OPTIONAL will be LIVE DRAFTS on the SOM site. Last year there was enough interest in LIVE DRAFT to create 4 leagues.

These will be created on specific dates and times so that it should fit with both East and West coasters, avoiding the weekends. They will be on Tues-Wed-Thurs - Aug 9-10-11 at 6PM PST / 9PM EST. Picks will be 1 minute per pick and should take about an hour and a half to complete. Stadiums will also be a mandatory pick in the Live Draft. Be wary when you make your stadium pick not to duplicate a grouping you have used in the previous 4 events.

Once the "announcement" email goes out, REPLY that you are interested in participating in the Live Draft and which day you want (or ANY if you are open to all days). You will then be given your invite to the event.

An email will go out this coming Sunday 7/31 to all players about the Live Drafts in Event 5. Basically asking that if you want to participate in one of them, to reply with your preferred day. The LD's will be:

Tuesday Aug 9
Wednesday Aug 10
Thursday Aug 11

6pm PST / 9pm EST

Ignore the email if you just want to autodraft.

The AUTODRAFT email (and the creation of the autodraft leagues) will go out on Friday Aug 5

Live Drafts are all committed. Each of the 3 leagues need 1 of those who signed on to actually enter their team. Dates, times, draft duration, must draft stadium are all locked in.

Autodraft leagues were created this morning. INVITES have gone out. The loading instructions e-mail has gone out.

Event 5 is officially underway.

And just like that, Event 5 is nearly filled. All leagues but 1 start on Monday - the 3 live drafts all went off without a hitch (except for a no show or two) and the final league only needs 2 fillers or 2 straglers who I can only assume are dropping out.

Next up, 200 Mil DH. This can make or break those of you who are on the fence at making the Top 8 or close to the Top 92 to get into the Semi-Finals.
