2023 Event 2
Posted: Mon Apr 10, 2023 12:54 pmWith a start date of May 1, Event 2 is getting closer. This will be an 80 Mil NO DH Autodraft challenge.
Two more players joined the tour after Event 1 closed, so that makes the Event 2 roster at 168. Hey that's exactly 14 leagues ! Cool !
I'll get a random.org run of "1-168" and pair it up with the alphabetic list of player names and go from there. It's working best to continue to "over invite" leagues by inviting 14 per league.
I will most likely create the leagues and send out invites approx Thurs or Friday April 20/21. I doubt a league will fill by the Friday deadline but if it does, Commish power will let me override and set the start date as May 1. That's only 10 days away so start getting your team ready.
The list of stadium groupings used to date is now posted, so you know what one grouping you CANNOT use for Event 2. Pop in and look at them, an error could have been made. You try to update 166 players in one sitting. It takes hours and my mind goes foggy. For you newbies, you must not use any stadium from a "grouping" you have used before. See the groupings in another forum post. ALSO, there was a tremendous change in groupings from last year so if you think you are positive about what grouping your preferred stadium is in, CHECK TO BE SURE.
I still have players that do not mark their team as READY FOR THE DRAFT without major cattle prodding. I think within 24 hours after entering the league is reasonable, don't you think that is reasonable ? And hey. AGAIN you do not have to remove your team from the league to make an adjustment to your draft list, rankings or stadium. Mark your team as not ready for the draft and all those items are available. I DO NOT want you to remove your team once entered.
In other news, just one week to go until our 2022 Champions League finalizes who the four playoff spots will go to. The action is heating up. Check it out. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/league/464012
Our 2023 standings page is here, sorry for being slow to update the thread with that info. Some familiar names have finally risen to the top while some shocking vets are at the bottom.
