Sorry but it is unfair for an option unmentioned in the rules to be effectively available only to those in the know. But no, it doesn't take away from Marc's legitimate skill at this game. It affects only 3 games. But sure that could make the difference in a close race. The age of the bug doesn't mean it was anything close to universally known. I have a right to my view-- and even Marc's comments acknowledge the ethical issue involved-/ I've stated it and wished all well. But it's a legit complaint

No one, including me, is denying your right to make a "legitimate complaint".

There are two issues here: the tour issue (that's my area) and the onlinegamesupport issue (that's John's area).

With regard to the tour, as commish I'm simply reporting that there is no "infraction". That onlinegamesupport has known about this since the inception of the game and chosen not to do anything on their end is their decision. Maybe a blurb in the official rules will make things right for you (and likely others), but you have to take that up with John.

If next year's commish wants to add a "Tour Rules" blurb, that would probably not hurt either. However, it's pretty hard to judge what every single manager understands going in, and add appropriate blurbs to cover what everyone might know or not know about the game.

In my opinion, it's incumbent upon the individual managers to understand the ins and outs of the game. Not being aware of something doesn't make it unfair. So while I see your complaint as valid, I do not see the feature as "unfair".

Guys,

I can certain understand teamnasty's legitimate point, and with retrospect, I wish to apologize for not being sensitive enough to the issue of making moves after 10 PM and I will certainly be more wary about do it again.

Just to end this potential controversy, and also in the spirit of winning this tour the cleanest way possible, I decided to trade back the major players that were involved in my post-10PM trade. So I'm moving back Werth and Pomeranz in the FA pool, and I'm getting back Saunders, Cuddyer and Hammel and take the 5% penalty. The moves are completed as I write this. With the 5% penalty, I won't have the money to get back Sean Rodriguez, but I will take another all-around player. I hope this is an acceptable compromise.

I wish to post a last comment before moving on: I strongly oppose the view that I'm taking advantage of match-ups or anything like that. It's not the motive of why I do these moves after 10 PM. It's simply that I like making last-minute move to fine-tune my roster and wait (without much excuses) too late to make them all.

Here are the facts, and I let you judge if I was taking advantage of match-ups by doing these moves:

Team 1 All moves were done prior to 10 PM.

I believe the same is true fot Team 5, but perhaps two moves were made after 10PM, I can't tell because none of these players were used in the first 3 games.

Possible moves for team 5
Mon, 8/17 Montreal Poutine dropped Hand, Brad - .73M lefty cheap SP for Carroll, Scott - .60M righty cheap SP
Mon, 8/17 Montreal Poutine dropped Marshall, Evan - .67M 3R for Diaz, Jumbo - .71M 5R

Team 2
Mon, 5/18 Montreal Poutinette dropped Baker, Scott - 1.06M for Stauffer, Tim - .92M (both cheap SP with homeruns on their cards)
Mon, 5/18 Montreal Poutinette dropped Balfour, Grant - .80M 3L for Rosenthal, Trevor - .96M 3L
Mon, 5/18 Montreal Poutinette dropped Webb, Daniel - .56M 6L for Duensing, Brian - .53M 5L

Team 4 : In this case, I started to make my moves so late that most were done tuesday, after the 5% penalty was already kicked in:
Tue, 7/21 Montreal Smoked Poutine added Jaso, John - 2.21M
Tue, 7/21 Montreal Smoked Poutine dropped Jones, James - .86M
Tue, 7/21 Montreal Smoked Poutine added Belisario, Ronald - .73M
Tue, 7/21 Montreal Smoked Poutine dropped Gonzales, Marco - .69M
Tue, 7/21 Montreal Smoked Poutine dropped Vincent, Nick - .98M
Tue, 7/21 Montreal Smoked Poutine dropped Belisario, Ronald - .73M
Mon, 7/20 Montreal Smoked Poutine added Vincent, Nick - .98M
Mon, 7/20 Montreal Smoked Poutine dropped Amarista, Alexi - .58M
Mon, 7/20 Montreal Smoked Poutine added Belisario, Ronald - .73M
Mon, 7/20 Montreal Smoked Poutine dropped Badenhop, Burke - .92M

The one exception is team 3, where the moves after 10 PM involved more substantial players
Team 3
Mon, 6/22 Montreal Too nerd 2 date added Colabello, Chris - 1.11M
Mon, 6/22 Montreal Too nerd 2 date dropped Martinez, Carlos - .81M
Mon, 6/22 Montreal Too nerd 2 date added Sanchez, Anibal - 5.45M 2L
Mon, 6/22 Montreal Too nerd 2 date dropped Cobb, Alex - 3.90M 3L
Mon, 6/22 Montreal Too nerd 2 date added Petit, Yusmeiro - 2.54M 5R
Mon, 6/22 Montreal Too nerd 2 date dropped Darvish, Yu - 3.17M 3R

What happened here is that I couldn't believe my numbers that Petit was a better buy in Rogers Center (a ballpark stadium less favorable to pitchers allowing homeruns). So I kinda run across the numbers again, and when I realized that Petit was the better buy, I went for him, and I went with Sanchez with the extra money, and made a last move with the extra money. So for the first three games, I had 7M on the mound, and I had 8M on the mound after game 3. So basically, I sleep on extra money while I was running the numbers to determine what I was going to do. And the pitchers I moved were of the same profile (3R for 5R and 3L for 2L).

I let others comment, but as for me, I'm moving on :)
