Board chimes in on the 6-team league

The board has agreed on the solution for the 6 team league which caused an issue because no playoffs (and points) exist for that format while postseason points are awarded to players in the 12 team leagues.

I will MANUALLY have SOM award 12 points to the winner and 4 points to the second place team. Run differential if necessary for Tie Breaker. That is an attempt to provide as least 50% of the points that would have been available in the 12 team league. This is final. Unanimous board agreement.

I doubt that I will create another 6 team league going forward. It was just to get a group of new players to still have their chance to DROP LOW event.

I was actually thinking -- maybe we should add one event where the leagues are 6 team leagues? If we want to find a true champ, using a lot of different parameters, why wouldn't a 6 team event be included? Maybe even a 24 team event ($60 million obviously, so that limits the auto draft effects.)

Most of us never play 6 team leagues, and very few 24 team leagues. (I think a lot of us don't play 24 is because they take forever to fill?)

Just some thoughts for maybe next year.

From my perspective, twice as much work as double the number of leagues. Also, no playoffs in 6 team leagues. Less fun and fewer number of credits would be awarded. I think a high majority of players would be against this. Some also consider a 24-team league a crapshoot and you're right, fewer # of MLB players in the 20XX series of cards. Might be hard to get a competitive team. However, the board will be asked to look at your suggestion.

I have asked SOM to post the 12 points that supertones deserves for winning the Event 1 "6-team" league. He will move up the standings board a little for this win.
