Sorry, had to be done. Rules are, you cannot duplicate a stadium over the course of the tourney.
bob711 for his Event 4 team duplication Camden Yards - -25 wins for his event 4 team JOSEGARCIA2 for his Event 5 team duplication Camden Yards - - 25 wins for his event 5 team
Whats so special about Camden ?!?
SOM has been advised to post the penalties. A shame too because they were both high up in the standings.
Since event 5 hasn't started, can't someone fix that so there's no penalty? I thought that was the rule? - or used to be? If it could be fixed before play starts, it would be fixed?
Great call, Randy. That would be appropriate. The Commish could contact JOSEGARCIA2, let him know the issue and get his choice of a new park. Then the Commish could contact SOM and have them make the switch. The league begins play on 9/22 so the window is tight.
JOSEGARCIA2 may have had a chance to look at his division mates teams. The small advantage that would give him in choosing a new park pales in comparison to what is possible, and fitting, here.
I disagree. Other managers have made decisions based on the posted ballpark so it would be unfair to them to make a change now. The only appropriate time to make the change, if at all, is before waivers. Also, the rules say that a change "may" be made, not "shall" be made. This leaves it to the commissioner's discretion and the commissioner has clearly stated his position.
^^^^^^^^ True too. I'm more lenient in such matters in leagues I commish. But they're only 12 teams. I suppose with such a large number of teams here, indulgence isn't always possible.
The Players board already ruled some time ago that for THIS TOURNEY, changes to stadiums would not be allowed. Over in Barnstormers, it sometimes is handled differently because of the complex ballpark "Groupings" But here this is case closed.

Good argument here as well. Definitely see both sides of this. Best solution is be careful and don't use the same stadium. LOL
