Hey, I don't want to be a d!ck, but 12 guys playing three regular leagues is nothing like what I thought I was signing up for long long long long long ago. I appreciate the effort, honestly I do, and I wish this was working out, but it's not. The real baseball season has another six weeks or so, and I stop playing Strat during the offseason usually.
Strat blew it for too many people, and, honestly, I'm not convinced that the message boards here aren't being censored by the Strat Godz.....I'm hearing a lot of praise and zero complaints. That's hard to believe. Things used to be freewheeling and fun on these boards. Now they read like something I'd get from the old Soviet Union. Everything's great! Strat hits a home run! Hal Richman rocks!
And where's Bernie? The guy was the face of Strat to us for years and now he's suddenly gone with no mention of what happened to him. A thank you would've been nice. A comment to us about what happened to him -- "Bernie's gone to pursue other interests" would've been better than nothing.
All that complaining aside, if we had like 36, 48, 60 guys signed up for a tourney, maybe I'd do it. But this thing's been bouncing along for months now, and we've got ten people.
I apologize for letting people down and stepping away, but I'm just not into it at this point. I'll be back in the Spring. Hopefully there'll be more interest in a tournament then.
Thank you.
