Finals League Draft (2014 Players Champ): Pushpin you're up

I found the Finals thread from last year and we are supposed to list our pre-drafted players LAST in our rankings order. That's what I've done, and I'm about to enter my team into the West now.

I'm close to entering my team for the West.

Important question: Is everybody listing their 3 pre-selected players at the very bottom or very top of their rankings? Top makes more sense to me but if memory serves correct last year we were convinced to list them at the bottom. I forget the reason why.

Yeah, would have to be the bottom to eliminate chance of somebody gaming the system, since you have your draft choices on your card it is impossible for them to be assigned to another team. Then everyone's draft priorities get listed 1-22.

If we had scout's honor that forum draftees were listed at the top, then the potential would exist that someone could list them elsewhere...which essentially would give that person not only their 3 forum picks, but also their top 3 choices on their draft card since everyone else would have their forum picks in the top three spots.

True. We'll always still have the problem though of the Computer potentially drafting a pre-selected player for another team. I.E. team 1 wants McCovey at 10M, but team 2 was already awarded McCovey, so the computer seeks the next cheapest 1b for team 1 and winds up giving them Cepeda who was pre-selected by another team and ranked at the bottom of their list.

How does this situation get resolved? Through forced cuts at the end of the draft? Forced trades?

The computer will award the next best at the position, provided he is not on any other draft cards. So as long as player x is on someone else's card, he won't be awarded as a "next best"

Really? Does it work like that in in ATG also?

Just when I thought my brain was full...

I assume it goes in ATG too, but I haven't played ATG in years
