Now you are making me wonder why I AM getting the notifications. I get them for both the "Championship Round" thread and for the draft thread.

I just clicked on the first of the four icons in the upper right corner of the thread and I was subscribed.

Here is what I get as a message to my e-mail:

Other than the slow start, pretty much one round a day, per the usual.

I have to tell you though, it's an interesting chess match to watch. :ugeek:

Thought you all might be interested in some statistics of how long people have been taking to make their picks (organised from shortest to longest avg time per pick):

Name - Total time, Avg per pick
Hendrix - 56mins, 14mins
Stoney - 1hr 10min, 17mins
wjb23 - 2hr 8mins, 32mins
J-Pav- 3hr 39mins, 55 mins
stevep107 - 3hr 2mins, 1hr
MARCPELLETIER - 4 hrs 23mins, 1hr 28mins
Gilbo - 8hrs, 2hrs
Boyer - 10 hrs 23mins, 3hrs 28mins
the splinter - 17hrs 26mins, 4hrs 21mins
sociophil - 19 hrs 50mins, 4hrs 57mins
john567855 - 22 hrs 33 mins (and counting), 7hrs 31mins (and counting)
Steadyeddie33 - 33 hrs 5 mins, 8 hrs 16 mins

Obviously, some guys have been making their picks very quickly. Congrats to Hendrix, Stoney and wjb23 who have been amazingly quick. Well done.

Hate to name and shame but the guys at the bottom of this list have been taking -way- too much time to do their picks. If we all took an average of 8hr per draft pick, it would take 4 days to do one round and 32 days for the entire draft!

C'mon guys. If we can all try to do our moves within, say, 2 hrs of the last guy, this thing will move along at a quicker pace. Obviously, we can't expect people to get up in the middle of the night to check if the guy you've been waiting for has done his move. But if people can check in as often as possible (especially if you know that your pick is coming up soon), things will move along much quicker and it would be much appreciated.

(apologies to Steadyeddie whose stats have been inflated by the fact that perhaps he didn't know the draft had started and took nearly 22 hrs to do his first pick. His average time since then has been a more reasonable (but still not great) 3hrs 44mins per pick)

Cheers
Steve
