2019 Tour Changes?

What changes would you like to see in this years tour?

I will post my thoughts tonight. Once we have an idea what people want, the board and I will lay out a schedule and get us rolling. Depending on how much input we get and how fast, the schedule may fall a bit later than last year

Questions:

Did you like the choice of cap event?
Should we leave stadium requirements the same or allow as barnstormers does for the reuse of stadiums in the semifinals and finals?
Any other changes/ideas?

Allow stadiums to be re-used in the finals and semis.

Just throwing this out there as an idea. How about making the stadium choices in the finals be the 12 least used-stadiums in all of the previous rounds?

No cap choice for League 1 (standard $80 is what every league chose last year anyway). Keep the $60 mil, $100 mil, and $80 mil No DH as is.

No re-using stadiums (I like that there’s some strategic angst over deciding what stadiums to use and when. Why is making it easier on everyone more desirable? It SHOULD be harder).

No changes necessary other than we need to get started. Last year’s tour is STILL going.

Event 2 was 60 million & event 4 was 100 million. I did like having those mixed in & the different strategy.

I agree with no re-using stadiums and the strategy when to use what stadium.

I also agree with no changes necessary, but I am fine with not starting right away.

I like all unique stadiums---no reuse---that is part of the strategy.

I wouldn't mind a cap change in a league, or two noDH leagues--maybe that 5th league be 100M noDH instead of a repeat of league one. We have to carry 25 players now, so a 100noDH might be a good option.

I misunderstood the no cap---I think it's a variable cap of 60M, 80M or 100M leagues and I do remember everyone going for 80M DH.

I wouldn't mind another no DH league for event 5, but I would prefer a smaller salary like 70M vs 100M

I like the way it has been with no reuse stadiums - that get us thinking of different strategic ideas and mixes it up some. I wouldn't want to go any less on salaries as this year will be more challenging to put a team together even with the same $ amounts. In real baseball I don't like the DH. In strat baseball I am all for the DH and am good with the mix we had.

I see only one thing that I would like to see changed - in the semi-finals it seems the leaders are at a bit of a disadvantage, while in the finals the leaders get a hug advantage. Why is that?

It seems if you did better in all those regular season games 648+ Playoffs (after letting 162 go) you should reward the winners in the semi-finals. Once you get the 12 teams for the finals the advantage should be minuscule, if at all, since the few left have really earned the right to be there. :D
In MLB they reward the best with playing against the wild card and with home field advantage. In the World series there is no performance advantage, other than what league won the All-Star game. It seems we have revered this. I would like to see that changed...
