From my previous post.....My faves are in the Central. My fave of the faves, chaberlal, is leading the pack. He will fail miserably in the long run. (Reverse jinx? Check.)

A 4th ring for hendrix08, in the early going, seems iffy.....Spider is staying in contention for his 2nd ring....wjb23, who is trying for the same, needs to hustle....

I'm definitely off to a rough start. As I mentioned in another thread, the rolls have more influence over a winning season than the manager does. I have a pretty strong lineup against RHP, but as a team, they have a combined 0.687 OPS against RHP, despite the slight edge in hitter card rolls. I think most people assume if you get the rolls on the hitter card you should be doing well which makes sense, but there are still a lot of bad roles on the hitter's card that we can't see how they are distributed, i.e. you can be lucky on getting hitter rolls but unlucky on where those rolls land on the hitter's card. Thats where I think I am right now. That and I've played a ton of road games, so there is some reason for optimism but we'll see.

Dice rolls have a say but over the course of a season, I believe that generally the better constructed teams will make the playoffs. Playoffs series are a crapshoot given the small sample sizes. With my team in the East currently competing against Hendrix and 2 other good teams , I believe it will largely depend on injuries. I have an injury prone team and have already lost 39 games to injury. If that pace continues, I will have a tough time competing. If it slows down significantly, my team will have a shot.

Goes without saying that this was a very tough group to compete against. For example, I had the #2 waiver spot and did not get my first or 3rd player listed.

Almost halfway through, 8 teams are solidly in contention for the 4 spots in the Finals.

As I should have assumed, hendrix08 has made a mighty comeback. I would love to see him v. cristano1 in a battle of Tournament GOAT's. cristano1 just dabbles in 20xx, so, ATG 9 All Eras. Them and 10 bot teams.

hendrix08 is in the Central. Which, according to RD, is The Division of Death for 2 Deserving teams. Spider 67 is still in the running for his 2nd ring.

I continue to root for chaberlal. A team name that includes Stars and Magic can't fail. (Again, reverse jinxing, he will lose 9 of his last 12 and miss the playoffs.) BUT, Lochinvar has arrived at the door of the bridal feast. Scott's tale heads in a particular direction now. Will his Protagonist's team follow?

Team names are so interesting. exwallman makes me think of a retired sheetrocker. Maybe he'll let us know its origin. RD says he should continue to do well in the West.

No second ring for wjb23. No second ring for Spider 67. He who puts up partitions will most likely earn the WC spot.
So the Central will have one playoff team. RD says hendrix08, who is in search of his 4th ring, deserves to be that guy.

Very interesting playoff semi-final series so far.

Both series are tied at 2-2.

What is interesting with my series with Hendrix08 is we both have similar ballparks (LH HR leaning) so we have no real home field advantage.
