I was in 2 24-team leagues, and 1 of them was with the 80s set. It is a very different dynamic: there are not a lot of players left over for the free agent pool, that's for sure. If you are a manager who likes trades, you would love a 24 team 80s league: you absolutely have to try trades to improve your team.. I liked it and would do it again even though my team was terrible.
To give you an idea of how few players are left over: I believe that between the 24 of us, every player except 2 got used during the course of the season (Chuck Rainey was one, and I think Steve Crawford the other).
