80s Relief Pitcher Closer Rating

In the mystery tourney I just got my team and have looked through all the relief pitchers in the 80s and none of them have a closer rating? Why is that?

The 80's players are under the old system. There aren't any closer ratings, etc. for pitchers so any relief pitcher can do it even though they never had a save in major league baseball.

Does the 70's League recognize the Closer Rating?
It does not appear on the Free Agent ratings (only R rating), but the individual pitcher cards do reflect a closer rating (ie. R3/3).
Will HAL factor this rating in a relief pitcher performance??
