Stargell's 1970 Card

PostTue Sep 15, 2015 5:46 pm

Need some advice....
I'm holding Willie's 1970 card in Yankee Stadium (HR-L 1/10). After 61 Gms. he's got 9 Hrs. w/ a BA of .226 (.179 vs. LHP!!) and OPS of .705. His Rolls are 124 Hit/146 Pit).
Good news - I'm 39-27 thx to effective LHP (Guidry, Kaat, Caldwell)
Also, Bonds is hitting .094 vs. LHP (think I have his 1970 card??- .879 OPS)
So, my team OPS vs. LHP is .678!! - eventually the league will figure me out!
I've been patient w/ WS because his 70 card has 31 hrs and Yankee Stadium should not hurt too bad.
But, w/ Bonds not hitting LHP and WS, I'm nervous.
Should I drop Willie?? and use the $$ to get a heavy HR guy (vs. RHP) and a LHP-BA guy (vs. LHP); or hope Willie and BobbyB wake up!
Any thoughts???

I wouldn't cut Stargell. If you want to go in a different direction, you could offer him up for trade. But he is going to be solid in Yankee Stadium. maybe try a different slot in the lineup.

Well, I did.... for Hisle who started out 2-12.
I just finished taking WS back.... what a waste of $$!!
Cost me Mota, but he was only hitting RHP so hope Holt or Wohlford can do the job in his place.
I agree WS should come around in Yankee Stadium.... we'll see?

Since then, Ducks are 7-2 and Mr. Stargell is 12-33, 6Hrs. and 15 RBI's in last 9 gms.!!
Go figure!
