Larry Parrish pt.2

PostFri Sep 18, 2015 10:39 am

a while back I had mentioned that I had Parrish playing on his /79 card in Fulton and he failed miserably ...I now have him playing on the same card in Jerry Park and once again he is under preforming...am I having terrible luck or is this card not as good as my eyes are telling me?

Maybe it is personal between you and Larry.

I am a big Parrish fan and I have had that card more than a few times. It is a great card, especially for $1.87. Just put up the following in Yankee:

596 85 173 45 3 31 101 38 142 2 1 29 D 1-12 .290 .338 .532

All this while missing on 17 # HR's

Comminsky:

579 85 167 50 2 33 119 35 128 2 0 25 D 1-12 .288 .328 .553

Missed on 16 # HR's

Yankee:

392 39 111 27 2 15 51 26 85 1 1 7 D 1-12 .283 .326 .477

Very consistent good performer when I'm lucky enough to catch it.

I have Wade Boggs on his 1994 (Primo season) card and was batting him 8th and considering dropping him until a injury reveal. His .270 avg vs rightys seems impossible for that .342 2R card. Kauffman should be a plus for him too. Sometimes you just don't get what you should out of a card.

True. I have Morgan at .216 after 125 AB's against rhp's on his MVP card in Royals only because he had a recent hot streak. Only 1-11 on # HR's, but still. Surprisingly hitting lhp's. I would have guessed one of his lh slanted cards if I didn't know.

wow...what a run...when I posted this Larry Parrish was batting .226 with one home run...and now he is batting .340 with ten home runs...and now that I posted this he'll probably go on a slide again.
