Novice question on how cards work in 365 league

When playing in an ATG or 80's league, is a particular card used for batters/pitchers or are results just based on computer generated averages for the pitcher/batter (ie. no rolling dice)?

Each player has a card, just like in the board game, and the computer rolls the dice to determine the outcome of each at-bat.

EDIT: I should point out that 80's leagues work differently. If you draft Cal Ripken for example, you get a "mystery card"... You won't know which of Ripken's seasons you're getting. You might want to start with an ATG league since it's easier to learn.

Thanks for the response. You sound like you know your stuff. Is your Cal Ripken example potentially frustrating if you draft him and then end up with one of his "off" years in your line-up all season?

frustrating Yes, one of the 'skills' of playing in the 'mystery sets' is being unable to read the cards and know which year you have. If it sucks, you can drop Ripken and pick up another SS in the free agent pool. search the posts, some good intel on how to read the cards.
