Question on 2021 league rules for online game...

PostSun Jun 20, 2021 12:13 pm

I am about to play the 2021 baseball current online game with the 12 team format. I picked my players. What do I need to know about these cards and how they change from week to week. Example if I picked Rizzo, Posey and Soto lets say, and that week they each go 2 for 24 for the week. Will they preform with those stats for the week in my league? ...or will there overall stats then change the main card only and will preform like there overall numbers still? Same for a pitcher...if I choose Darvish and deGrom and they have 2 bad starts that week is that what I should expect when they pitch that week for me?
Thanks everyone.

For further questions on the 2021 set, you might be better off on the 2021 forum. This is for the mystery sets.
In any case, startomatic works off of dice rolls. Each player has a card designed to mirror actual stats with enough rolls.
Just like if you flip a coin and it comes up heads three times in a row, there is still a 50/50 chance the next flip is heads.
The added element of the mystery games is you are not sure which of which 5 cards you have. But you do have the same card all year, whatever it is.

Welcome, Bruce. Looks like we're in the same league. Should be fun-- if it ever fills up!
Just so you know, the cards change every day, not week to week. Usually a batter card won't change much in one day. But pitchers-- especially RPs-- can go from good to bad in one day, so you've got to keep an eye on them.
By the way, if you click on a player, you'll see today's card. But under that, you can click on 6/19, 6/18, etc... so it's easy to see how that card has changed from day to day.
