HAL Starting Pitching Assignments

PostTue Nov 09, 2021 12:22 pm

Just starting a new 70's League and left the SP assignments blank the 1st night.
HAL pitched McNally before Cuellar(and MC got wrecked!) in GM 2.
Would HAL's decision be a possible indicator of Cuellar's card?

I hope not!

Many years ago, I started playing in 70s leagues. I did pretty well. Later, I started a 70s keeper league and initially did well. Then suddenly, I couldn't win. It turns out many/most of the league figured out leaving your lineup blank would give great clues as to which cards your position players had. (I was slow--the last?--to realize this.)

Fortunately, SOM changed the game so you could no longer get clues with blank lineups. I also thought it was changed so starting pitcher rotation was determined by salary. So, I don't know what to make of McNally starting before Cuellar. Was it a fluke or was it a clue?
