Reliever Strategy - 80s Gossage vs Mitch Williams

Hi. Why is mystery card 80's Mitch Williams 3.73 salary more expensive then Gossage 2.80 salary? I dont understand it, I look at the cards, I see the stats on Baseball Reference, what am I missing? Goose is obviously the superior pitcher. Is it a lefty right thing?

80s pricing is almost 20 years old and has never been updated. It was bad back then, but really should have been updated. Williams is probably about a $1M guy, and Gossage should be more like $4M.
