70s theme league - single team / AL East and KC to load

This league is just the 70s, meaning that your team is composed entirely of players that have a carded year from the 70s. Carded years from the 60s or 80s don't count.

Wouldn't every player in the 70s game have a carded year from the 70s?

Yes, every player in the 70s set has at least one year in the 70s. So, the first sentence in the rules is unnecessary. I should have written "This league is just the 70s, meaning that your team is composed entirely of players that have a carded year from the 70s for your team."

This doesn't make sense to me.

The order of the free agent draft in each round is in reverse to total team salary and is not serpentine (i.e., the lowest salary team picks first in each round). Randomizer will be used for team draft order.

That means that, as soon as 12 people have signed up, a randomizer is run to set a team draft order from 1 to 12. Then, each owner drafts one major league franchise. So, let's say the first person drafts the Orioles, the second person drafts the Angels, the 3rd person drafts the White Sox, etc.

Next, we have a 4 round free agent draft on the boards. Since the White Sox have the lowest team salary (28.03 mil), they have the first pick in each round of the free agent draft. The Angels (team salary 29.25) have the second pick in each round and the Orioles with the highest team salary pick last in each round of the free agent draft.

The Angels must open the season with a roster that includes Ryan, Tannana, Aikens, McMullen, Repoz, and Chalk. The rest of their team will be made up of free agents that have at least one year on the Angels from the 70s on their Strat card.

The Angels are kind of an intriguing team since their eligible free agents include Bonds, F Robinson, B Singer, Messersmith, Epstein, R May, Figeroa, Baylor, Bochte, and many lower-priced free agents that have at least one carded year for the Angels in the 70s.

the league is not yet dead. If RonSanto is still in, we appear to be half filled. If there are another couple sign-ups by Friday, then the league will remain open . If there are not, then I'll declare the league dead.
