If any of the managers who have not loaded yet would prefer the league not start until December 30 (Jayhawk or the four West managers), simply wait until Friday night or Saturday to load your team. If anyone who has loaded already has a concern about a possible early start, please post here immediately (or email or PM me if you wish to remain anonymous).
Assuming we don't start on Monday, December 23, I am asking that the last manager to NOT load on Monday, December 23. That would put waivers on Christmas day. Now I realize this request may backfire because it could push waivers to a day someone can't make or because Christmas may be the best day for some people. However, I think we should reserve Christmas day for those who want to spend it with their families. Of course, if no one minds an early start and we are loaded by tomorrow evening, it won't be an issue.
Personally, I don't care if we start on December 23 or 30, or which day waivers are run. However, with the tournament (which I'm not in) going on and the holidays all hitting the same week, I'm trying to allow for conflicts for others. I do have a strong preference to start no later than December 30, however. I think waiting until January is just too long between seasons. I think a fast turnaround between seasons contributes to the success of this type of league.
