The salaries for some sets are better in line with their value than others. For example, Roger Repoz in the 70s set isn't worth half of his price even for his best season. Generally, SOM has improved in this area; newer sets are generally better priced than older ones. However, they still are a long way from perfect. However, that is part of the charm of the game--finding the players with the best value.

Bottom line for me that I would still rather take Alou or Carew for there bargin salary despite the little difference in defense. Sure I would like to have the 1 defensive card, but the 2 is not so bad either. Thanks to all again for trying to figure all this out.
